The Genomics at Sea Program collaboration has been made possible through a generous donation from Viking of $600,000 to support the PhD work of Christian Johnson; a donation from Viking of genomics equipment repurposed from Viking's COVID-PCR onboard labs to the Allen Lab; and Viking's provision of ship-based research personnel, on board lab facilities, and all travel and logistics fieldwork. 

 

The Allen Lab has generously provided research personnel and lab facilities for processing samples at JCVI/SIO.  

 

The Director’s Office at Scripps Institution of Oceanography created a 501(c)(3) charitable trust specifically for the Genomics at Sea Program to facilitate additional philanthropic financial support from interested Viking guests who are engaging with the program.
